+ International Conference Architectural Expertise and Mediation in the Construction Sector

The Association Alliance for High - Quality Baukultur the Association Agreements, the Foundation Institute for Digital Transformations and ST Architekten GmbH are organising an international final conference under the project Training for Architects in Resolving Professional Disputes by Means of Mediation and Expertise  funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. 

Special guests of the conference are arch. Lutz Heese – Honorary President of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and arch. Alexandra Heese – Vice-President of the Union of Free Professions in Bavaria. The forum will feature 5 presentations, a panel discussion and the awarding of certificates to architects who have completed the course.

+ ​Following in-depth discussions, the Second Methodological Session of the core team of the Training Forum was held under Project 2024-2-BG01-KA210-VET-000292975 “Training Architects in Resolving Professional Disputes through Mediation and Expertise” within the Erasmus+ Programme.

On 24 March 2026, the Second Methodological Session of the core team of the Training Forum under Project 2024-2-BG01-KA210-VET-000292975 “Training for Architects in Resolving Professional Disputes through Mediation and Expertise” within the Erasmus+ Programme was held in the form of an online conference.

The session was attended by representatives of the Foundation “Institute for Digital Transformations”, ST Architekten GmbH, the Association “Alliance for High Bau Culture”, and the Association “Agreements”.

The agenda of the session covered discussions on a wide range of methodological topics:

1. The newly developed training programmes and content (including the training manual) and examination questions for the purposes of the specialised training of architects.

2. The twice-conducted training course for architects on the preparation of expert reports and the conduct of mediation.

3. The survey carried out among the participants in the delivered trainings and the ongoing analysis of the results.

4. The preparation of an International Conference on the project results, on the prospects for the development of the Training Forum, and on the issues related to the preparation of expert reports and mediation in architecture and construction.

+ Successfully completed the second session of trainingto for architects on dispute resolution in the construction sector with the means of expertise and mediation, based on the proven German experience in this field.

Successfully completed the second session of trainingto for architects on dispute resolution in the construction sector with the means of expertise and mediation, based on the proven German experience in this field. A total of 164 architects participated, and 48 professionals successfully passed the exams. The training consisted of two modules of 40 academic hours - technical expertise and mediation skills - with the aim of improving the qualification and expanding the professional opportunities of architects.   The project ends on 30.04.2026 with a conference on the topic:Architectural expertise and mediation in the construction sector, with the participation of:

 - arch. Lutz Heese – Honorary President of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects and ·
 - arch. Alexandra Heese – Vice-President of the Union of Free Professions in Bavaria.    

The conference aims to present the results of the project and the prospects for development related to the issue of preparing expertise and mediation in architecture and construction in Bulgaria. Six reports will be presented and a podium discussion will be held on publicly significant topics for the sector. Wait for the start of registration soon!

On June 10 and 11, the first project in Bulgaria aimed at training architects in dispute resolution in the construction sector through the use of expert assessments and mediation—drawing on German experience—was launched in Sofia and Varna.
 
The project includes two modules of 40 academic hours each: technical expertise and mediation skills. Its goal is to enhance the qualification and expand the professional opportunities of architects in line with international standards.
 
Participation is free of charge and entirely online. Those who were unable to register for the current course will have the opportunity to enroll in the second course, which will begin on November 4, 2025.

+ Project “Training for architects to resolve professional disputes through mediation and expertise” (TrAMEx)

On 13.02.2025, with the CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES (National Agency (“providing body”)), an Agreement was signed for the provision of non-repayable funds under the “Erasmus+” program for the implementation of Project 2024-2-BG01-KA210-VET-000292975 with the name “Training for architects to resolve professional disputes through mediation and expertise” (TrAMEx). The project coordinator is the Digital Transformations Institute Foundation, and partners are ST Architekten GmbH, Association “Alliance for High Construction Culture” and Association “Agreements”. The project duration is 16 months with a starting date of 01.01.2025 and an end date of 30.04.2026. Total budget: 60,000.00 euros.

From 20.02.2020, arch., dipl. eng. Stoyan Todorov - exec. director of "Institute for Digital Transformations" and from 14.05.2020 dipl. business manager Ivan Markov - member of the Foundation's Council become members of National working group for introduction of building information modeling (BIM) for the entire life cycle of constructions at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.
